The purposes for which the corporation Affordable Family Homes was organized is to build housing that are affordable for people from Low to Medium income; and for all purposes for which corporations may be formed under Louisiana Nonprofit Corporation Law not inconsistent with the appropriate provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. Said corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and scientific purposes, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any further federal tax code. Since the Katrina Hurricane we are focusing on providing houses for the New Orleans Katrina victims that qualify under our program.
