Our eyes can fool us, but a dog’s nose knows! In the early stages of plant growth, depending on location and conditions, our target species may look different than what we can identify. 🌱 We’ve found this to be the case with our invasive dyer’s woad work. In the rosette stage, we have lab tested a few samples as double confirmation from a canine find. But of course the dogs were spot on. 🐶 This case is just another example of why dogs are such an effective asset when working on plant projects - catching these invasive species at this early stage prevents them from going to the dreaded flowering stage and spreading. This sweet girl is still looking for her perfect retirement home! 🏠 🐾Zoey is 9 years old and full of spunk & love. A few of Zoey's favorite things are comfy blankets, toys (of course!), and any human friend, big or small! Zoey is amazing with kids and has been our go-to for school demos since she loves the attention. At this age, Zoey is plenty happy with a play session or short hike and then relaxing for the rest of the day. She has quite a few dog friends that she makes after a proper introduction and is extremely tolerant of their shenanigans. 🌟 The perfect home for Zoey has a comfy couch, 5ft+ fence, and humans that like to cuddle.
