Maine Renewable Energy Association

The Maine Renewable Energy Association (MREA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting renewable energy in the state of Maine. Founded to enhance collaboration among members, MREA represents a diverse group of stakeholders, including renewable energy producers, suppliers of goods and services, and advocates for sustainable energy policies.

Mission and Objectives

MREA's primary mission is to advocate for the advancement of renewable energy generation across various technologies, including solar, wind, hydro, and tidal energy. The organization plays a crucial role in leading local and statewide debates on energy policies and regulations, ensuring that the interests of its members are effectively represented at the Maine Legislature and the Maine Public Utilities Commission.
