National Foundation for Medical Research and Innovation
We have supported a number of existing and new medical research projects in Australia, not only financially, but also via additional valueadding support such as mentoring, probono access to important services and access to networks to name a few. We delivered a number of presentations at universities and medical research institutes during the year to help grow awareness, inform researchers and assist them to submit higherquality, strategicallyaligned proposals. We delivered a national conference to help unite and educate the sector. Via our grant rounds, we were able to provide $1,074,127 in grants during the 2022 calendar year. We provided reassurance and flexibility during the pandemic to all researchers we support by granting time extensions, where required. A large number of projects have advanced exceptionally quickly, securing nextstep partners so they may reach and assist the community sooner (please refer to annual report).
