What an incredible night at the annual Sleep Out: Community Edition! Thank you to everyone who joined us Friday, May 2nd, at Kincaid Park. By giving up your bed for just one night and sleeping outdoors, you helped raise awareness and vital funds for our mission to end youth homelessness in Alaska. This unique and immersive event brought our community together. Participants enjoyed live music from Yachtly Crew, delicious food from The Pizza Box and El Senor Moose food trucks, and created memories at the Photo Bus and Art Therapy stations. There were also inspiring speeches from Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom, Senator Lisa Murkowski, and Covenant House Alaska alumni. Your participation and support are crucial. The funds raised go directly to the services and programs provided to young people experiencing homelessness, helping them move towards stable housing, education, employment, and positive connections in the community. This support helps keep Covenant House Alaska’s doors open 24/7 to provide a safe place for youth.
