Her Justice Shifts The Power so women can build safer, stronger futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. When a person receives their work permit “it’s like the world opens”, according to Fabiola, a Her Justice client who got her permit in 2018. But right now it can take up to 5 YEARS after filing to be able to work legally in the U.S. At Her Justice, we know it can be different. Our newest policy report offers stories, data, context, and nuance to help you understand how our immigration and civil justice systems work today – and it provides concrete recommendations to federal, state, and local policymakers for how to reform these systems for all of our benefit.
