Operation Homefront Sacramento Inc.
A US Army sergeant was critically wounded in Iraq last year. His wife spent much of her time by his Walter Reed Hospital bedside when he returned to the states. A great family asked for a little help to make a dream come true for these newlyweds: A mini-home improvement make-over of their now neglected residence. At the same time, the home was made more safe and accessible during the soldiers recovery. Many of our projects are less complicated but are still needed by families whose lives can be placed on hold due to military service. From mowing an overgrown lawn to making a bath room accessible for a wounded soldier, the needs are many. Our valued volunteers accomplish this by supporting America's deployed troops, wounded soldiers and the families they leave behind.
