🌟Let’s talk about the incredible benefits of incorporating deliberative dialogue in the classroom! We know it can feel intimidating at first, but the rewards are worth it! Plus, the DMC is here to support you every step of the way. Applications are now OPEN for the 2025-2026 Innovators in Civic Education Fellowship! This fellowship provides classroom and community-based educators with the resources and training they need to bring high-quality, civics-forward education to the classroom. Interested in learning more? Check out our blog and apply now! https://www.mathewscenter.org/blog/applications-open-for-2025-2026-innovators-in-civic-education-fellowship 📚 Or reach out to DMC Education Manager, Lauren Lockhart llockhart@mathewscenter.org, for more details. 📅Deadline: May 7th! Don’t miss out! (fb)

Before #womenshistorymonth ends, the staff of the David Mathews Center also want to express our appreciation to Cristin Brawner🌟, a community and civic engagement consultant whose association with the DMC goes back more than a decade. Brawner is a Jean O’Conner-Snyder Internship alum, former staff member, and served as director from 2014 to 2021. Most recently, she has served on the DMC Board of Directors and as a transition consultant for the onboarding of our new director. Cristin, your fingerprints are all over the DMC and we are so grateful for your service and support! 🩵 (fb)
