As 401Gives comes to a close, we are still in the face of growing federal uncertainty, where many Rhode Island nonprofits are facing an impossible choice: scale back services or stretch already limited resources even further. From food pantries and shelters to youth programs and senior care, these organizations are the backbone of our communities — and they’re under threat. We have officially launched United Is The Way, a new emergency grant initiative designed to support nonprofits weather the storm and continue serving our most vulnerable neighbors. We are releasing a Request for Proposals (RFP) with $500,000 in emergency funding available for nonprofits. Grants of up to $50,000 (average $25K–$30K) will be awarded as general operating support — flexible, fast, and focused on what organizations need most right now.
