With deep gratitude, we are preparing to say farewell to Canon Bill Parnell, who will retire as our Canon to the Ordinary this weekend! Help us send him off with a whole lot of Diomass love by sharing a memory, message, photo, or kind wish to Bill in the comments. Thank you Bill, for all you have given us over these past nine years! This spring the Evangelism Working Group of our Diocesan Council hosted four Zoom sessions of New Models of Episcopal Evangelism, “real not ideal” conversations about how congregations in the diocese are practicing creative ways of sharing the Gospel in their communities. Recordings are now available on the diocesan YouTube channel to view and share: http://bit.ly/4kujd9J Sessions include: • "New Wine, New Wineskins: A New Model for Collaborative Ministry Partnerships" presented by the Rev. Scott Ciosek and St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Dartmouth; • "Small Church as a Laboratory for Experimentation" presented by the Rev. Malia Crawford and Church of Our Saviour in Arlington; • "Welcoming the Community Outside of Sunday Morning with Dover Unplugged" presented by Amelia Slawsby and George Motley of Saint Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Dover; • "Essential Spiritual Practices for Evangelism and Parish Vitality," presented by the Rev. Becky Zartman-Carpenter. The Evangelism Working Group hopes to continue the series in the fall! (fb)
