Orange County Cavy Haven is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue dedicated to rehoming guinea pigs and educati Orange County Cavy Haven's programs include: 1) A foster program through which individuals and families house and care for rescued guinea pigs until they are found suitable homes. 2) A shelter outreach program in which Cavy Haven volunteers visit city and county shelters to bring food and medical attention to impounded guinea pigs. 3) An adoption program that facilitates adoptions in three ways: Rescue adoptions of rehabilitated guinea pigs in foster homes, private adoptions of guinea pigs unwanted by private owners, and direct adoptions from city and county shelters. 4) A public education program whose activities include community events, publications, and adoption counseling.
