We began in 1993 as a grassroots initiative to bring stable, locally-based, high-quality primary health care to our community. In 1994, we partnered with the Kennebec Valley Regional Health Agency (now HealthReach Community Health Centers) to open the Rangeley Region Health Center (now Rangeley Family Medicine). Our health and wellness campus includes Ascent Physical Therapy, a Fitness Center, Community Health Services and Rangeley Family Medicine, our community medical center, which is operated by HealthReach Community Health Centers.

As our existing playground adjacent to Rangeley Family Medicine was showing its age the timing was perfect to reinvent the space. Inspired by board member Beth Brunswick board Vice President Jim Higgins assembled a capable team and spearheads the project. Now just one year later Wellness Woods is providing hours of outdoor entertainment for our communitys children.
