In his powerful PechaKucha talk, “Seeking and Embracing Failure,” the architect will share how a Parkinson’s diagnosis at age 47 transformed his relationship with failure—turning it from something to avoid into a practice of strength, resilience, and grace. Now a Principal at MASS Design Group and longtime preservation leader, Shawn opens up about learning to fail on purpose, confronting imbalance, and reimagining failure as a path to wholeness.
