OSCIL is Rhode Island's Go-To Agency for Disability Services, Resources & Information OSCIL IS A CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING CONTROLLED AND DIRECTED BY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THAT PROVIDES ADVOCACY AND SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES OF ANY DISABILITY AND ALL AGES. SOME OF THE SERVICES PROVIDED ARE INDIVIDUAL ADVOCACY, SKILLS TRAINING, PEER COUNSELING, INFORMATION & REFERRAL, ASSESSMENT, HOME EVALUATIONS, YOUTH TRANSITION SERVICES, NURSING FACILITY TRANSITION SERVICES, ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY, HOME MODIFICATIONS, BENEFITS COUNSELING, AND PERSONAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES. OSCIL ALSO PROVIDES OUTREACH, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION TO THE BROADER POPULATION OF CITIZENS, GOVERNMENTS, AND BUSINESSES IN RHODE ISLAND.
