SAHF aims to advance the creation & preservation of healthy, sustainable affordable rental homes that foster equity, opportunity, and wellness. The nation faces a steady and dramatic loss of affordable, multifamily, rental housing, as existing owners convert the properties to condominiums and/or market-rate apartments. SAHF's members buy the properties, paying market price, rehabilitate them, and retain affordability, using federal, state, or local funding, private financing, and other resources.
