NESCAUM, formed in 1967, was the nation's first regional association of air quality regulators. We are recognized as a leader in our field and serve as the Northeast center for policy-relevant air quality and research. Our affiliate organization, Northeast States Center for a Clean Air Future provides the air quality regulators an opportunity to collaborate with private enterprise, local government, and nonprofts on leading-edge research, outreach, and demonstration projects. NESCAUM's and NESCCAF's unique blend of technical expertise and policy relevant advocacy has advanced and continues to advance the cause of cleaner air and a healthier environment for all.
