Tomche Shabbos of Rockland County
Tomche Shabbos provides 500 families with food every week and other forms of assistance! Utilizing numerous volunteers from throughout the community, large boxes of food are silently left at the door of poor people's homes late each Thursday night. These boxes contain chicken, fish, potatoes, fruit & vegetables, challah, rye bread, juice, & canned goods. Tomche Shabbos of Rockland County is the single largest response to poverty of this kind in Rockland County, NY, reaching more than 440 homes each Thursday night.

As we got to know our recipients we added more services over the decades to meet a broader range of needs. While we still deliver our signature food packages we now offer comprehensive emergency assistance to impoverished individuals and families in Rockland County.
