William Robert “Bill” Long 1930 - 2025 It is with deep sadness to share the news of the passing of William “Bill” Long, a long-time member of the Rotary Club of Salem, on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Bill and his wife, June, were dedicated Rotarians who owned and transported the polio iron lungs to so many Rotary and other events over the years, so the importance of Rotary’s efforts toward the eradication of polio would never be forgotten. Bill and June also traveled to over 50 countries to aid in the eradication of polio.
