The mission of the Harvest Ball Society is to respond to the evolving needs of the Northland through inspired philanthropy. Harvest Ball Society: Supporting the Charities of Kansas City Clay County Clothes Closet Founded in 1959 this all volunteer organization receives referrals from schools churches and social services agencies to provide new clothing to children SmithfieldFarmland In August 2013 two Smithfield Foods subsidiaries The Smithfield Packing Company and Farmland Foods realigned to form the SmithfieldFarmland Packaged Food Group and SmithfieldFarmland Fresh Meat Group. This union brought together two leading pork suppliers both known for their highquality retail and foodservice offerings in the United States and abroad across a variety of Fresh and Packaged categories.
