Breckenridge History
#OnThisDay (May 31) in 1912 the Summit County Journal & Breckenridge Bulletin reported that baseball was underway in Summit County. Base ball (spelling at the time) was a major sport in Breckenridge during the late 1800s and early 1900s. At one point, the town had multiple teams and several mining companies fielded their own team, along with all of the surrounding towns.
