THE WILDCAT ATHLETIC CLUB (WAC) WAS ORGANIZED TO SUPPORT AND PROMOTE SHOREHAM WADING RIVER'S ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES. THE WAC ACTS AS A LIASON BETWEEN THE PARENT/STUDENTS AND COACHES/ADMINISTRATION. THE WAC HELPS FUND ITEMS THAT ARE NOT IN THE BUDGET, SUCH AS PURCHASING NEW UPDATED COST-EFFECTIVE BANNERS, TEAM BENCHES, WIRELESS SOUND SYSTEMS, REMOTE ACCESS FOR SCOREBOARDS, AND ENLARGING THE CONCESSION FACILITIES. THE WAC ALSO SPONSORS AWARD DINNERS AND BANQUETS. THE WAC NOT ONLY SUPPORTS STUDENT-ATHLETES WHILE THEY ARE AT SHOREHAM-WADING RIVER, BUT ALSO PROVIDES THEM WITH ASSISTANCE AS THEY PURSUE THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION GOALS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS PRESENTED AT THE ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER.
