What challenges do mothers face when something as basic as an antenatal card is out of reach? In Wakiso District, Uganda, the lack of standardized antenatal care (ANC) cards has made it harder for women to track their pregnancy journeys, putting both mothers and babies at risk. To close this gap, Living Goods has donated over 36,000 Mother Passports to health facilities across 18 sub-counties in Wakiso. These simple but vital tools help women record critical milestones like ANC visits, immunizations, and postnatal checks, freeing them from the burden of buying or photocopying incomplete versions. “Without these cards, it was difficult to monitor maternal and newborn health,” said Dr. Emmanuel Mukisa, Wakiso District Health Officer. Our goal? Ensure that no mother or child is left behind, starting with the basics and building up strong, supported systems through our continued investment in Village Health Teams and maternal health tools. #MaternalHealth #CommunityHealth #LivingGoods #HealthEquity #PrimaryHealthcare #ANC #Wakiso #Uganda #HealthcareInnovation (fb)

𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮’𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀! The National Vaccine and Immunization Program (NVIP), in collaboration with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and UNICEF, has launched the KeNVIP portal, a cloud-based, integrated data platform developed and hosted by Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology(JKUAT). Historically, NVIP faced significant operational hurdles: no centralized data hub, fragmented tools, and limited visibility across systems. KeNVIP is the game-changer we've been waiting for. KeNVIP delivers several benefits, including: § Real-time, dynamic dashboards tracking key immunization indicators § Interoperability with systems like DHIS2, Chanjo, Nexleaf & more § A defaulter tracking tool to reduce zero-dose cases § Smart learning features to support data-driven decision-making § Insightful analytics for the “Big Catch-Up” campaign 💻 Explore the portal: https://kenvip-home.jkuat.ac.ke The recent event presided over by Health CS Hon. Aden Duale, also marked the flag-off of cold chain equipment distribution to all 47 counties. The equipment ensures vaccines remain stable and effective during storage and transport. In his remarks, he reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening Primary Health Care and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with development partners to enhance Kenya’s immunization infrastructure for a healthier future. Also in attendance were Principal Secretaries MARY MUTHONI, CBS, HSC. and Dr. Ouma Oluga, Director General Dr. Patrick Amoth, and representatives from UNICEF, World Health Organization (WHO), JKUAT, Clinton Health Access Initiative, PATH, Jhpiego, and Living Goods. #HealthForAll #KeNVIP #ImmunizationData #PrimaryHealthCare #DigitalHealth #KenyaHealth #DataForHealth (fb)
