The Kohl Kitty Kare

Kohl Kitty Kare aka Kohl's Cat House is a Oregon based no-kill feline rescue organization. We are a volunteer only based organization. Kohl's is funded exclusively through donations, bottle drives and garage sales. We provide rescue relief to homeless, abandoned and abused felines. Our mission is to provide a safe shelter, veterinarian care and socialization for stray, abandoned or abused felines until permanent homes can be found for them through adoption. Kohl Kitty Kare volunteers rescue stray and abandoned animals from desperate situations including the Coos County Animal Shelter. The volunteers also have expertise in TNR (trap-neuter-return) of feral cats in colonies. If no caretaker is available for a colony, volunteers will tend to the colony until a caretaker can be found. Extraordinary effort is expended in finding homes for cats suitable as pets and barn homes for hunters. Kohl Kitty Kare never places a time limit on a cat's stay at the Cat House. If no home can be found then the Cat House becomes their home. We transfer cats to Oregon Humane of Portland, saving more lives by doing so.
