Academy of Music for the Blind, is a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing music education to talented blind students from 4 to 19 years of age. The only year-round non-profit solely devoted to empowering blind youth through a music & performing arts education. AMB: Where music is our vision. The Academy of Music for the Blind is a non-profit corporation (501c3), exclusively and whole-heartedly dedicated to educating and meeting the needs of talented blind and visually impaired youth by developing their unique musical, creative, academic, social and physical skills. With a mixture of both blind and sighted teachers, AMB provides inspiring mentoring & role modeling opportunities. As the only year-round music school in the world solely dedicated to a comprehensive music education for the blind we are also a resource for other schools of music to draw upon in order to serve the needs of their blind students.

The Academy of Music for the Blind was honored to partner with the Braille Institute to cheer on the incredible students at last weekend’s 25th Annual SoCal Regional Braille Challenge. AMB’s outstanding musicians performed inspiring anthems of determination and joy. And while Braille Challenge contestants filed to their rooms to begin their day of Brailling, Acabella’s confidence-building music rang in their ears.
