It is situated on Long Islands Great South Bay with easy access to Fire Island towns and beaches. The Moorings was the conception of William Miller a developer who purchased the picturesquely designed parklike estate of Charles Lanier Lawrance. The estate originally belonged to famed Wall Street banker H.
