THE ASSOCIATION CONSISTS OF SIX U.S-AFFILIATED PACIFIC ISLAND JURISDICTIONS (AMERICAN SAMOA, THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS, GUAM, THE FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA, THE REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS, AND THE REPUBLIC OF PALAU), EACH OF WHICH HAS BEEN DESIGNATED BY THE U.S. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AS A "MEDICALLY UNDERSERVED AREA". CORE MEMBERS CONSIST OF NONPROFIT, MULTI-SERVICE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS AND ASSOCIATIONS FROM THE PACIFIC ISLANDS.
