After returning from a meaningful 3GNY trip to Poland - where we walked through the shadows of our families' pain and witnessed the strength of Jewish renewal - it was heartbreaking to learn of the horrific murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim in an act of antisemitism here in America. As we head into Shabbat, we hold the victims and their loved ones in our hearts. Their loss reminds us that the dangers we teach about are not just history, they are painfully present. Now more than ever, we remain committed to sharing our family stories to inspire others to stand up against hate, supporting one another as descendants of survivors, and uplifting the enduring resilience of the Jewish people. This week 6 wonderful 3GNY volunteers traveled to Scranton, PA for the 37th Annual Teen Symposium on the Holocaust. Hundreds of high school students from across northeast Pennsylvania came together to learn about the Holocaust and contemporary antisemitism, and to examine their individual and collective responsibility to speak out against hate. 3GNY’s WEDU speakers shared their family stories and prompted students to identify concrete actions they will take to ensure “never again” is a reality.
