Last night was a remarkable celebration as The Floating Hospital was honored as Non-Profit Organization of the Year at the RED Awards. Being in the company of such inspiring Commercial Real Estate industry leaders made this moment even more special. A heartfelt thank you to the advisory board and steering committee for recognizing our commitment to serving families in need. For the past few years, our Chef Maria Loi Loukoumi Make a Difference Teaching Kitchen has been nourishing our patients and showing them healthier food options. On Friday, the Loukoumi Foundation returned to the kitchen made possible by their donations with Philoxenia, a pop-up food bank, which brought the makings for 100 sandwiches for our patients. Assisting them in their assembly were a dozen children from the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens, who also wrote notes to include with the sandwiches.
