Provincetown 400’s mission is to improve the quality of life of residents and the visitor experience, and to grow the economic and environmental vitality of Provincetown and Cape Cod by showcasing the historic and cultural significance of the region. We are committed to educating the world about Provincetown’s unique role in the story of the 1620 landing of the Mayflower Pilgrims, the signing of the Mayflower Compact, the Pilgrim-Wampanoag relationship, and the five weeks of exploration on Cape Cod prior to the establishment of the Plymouth, MA colony—and to sharing the heritage and culture of the native peoples living here long before the Pilgrims landed.
