Community providers support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) with a broad array of services from building skills in the home, such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene, to career planning and employment supports to find and maintain jobs. These community-based services are funded almost exclusively through Medicaid. Congressional leaders are discussing proposals that could significantly reduce Medicaid funding.
