The Mirembe Project The Mirembe Project The Mirembe Project was founded in 1999 to advance human rights and social justice especially in the Global South. Mirembe supports social entrepreneurs whose dedication and farreaching vision have yielded transformational impact in the areas of youth empowerment womens rights community change through creative dialogue and human rights and HIVAIDS. Smallscale projects even with significant accomplishments find it hard to attract the necessary resources to sustain their efforts. Grassroots leaders are already stretched thin to perform the work let alone publicize successes and generate materials to reach a wider audience.
