We are pleased to share the Calder Foundation’s new visual identity: Calder’s signature, repurposed from the catalogue cover for the artist’s 1943 retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Designed by Herbert Matter, the cover pairs Calder’s rhythmic signature in bold white with a reverse silhouette of Spiny (maquette). Calder’s art and ethos are at the center of everything we do at the Foundation—and now his signature will grace all our projects. Many thanks to CHIPS for bringing this idea to life.
