Friends of Brooklyn State Wildlife Area Friends of the Brooklyn State Wildlife Area Brooklyn State Wildlife Area The Brooklyn State Wildlife Area is located between the villages of Oregon Brooklyn and Belleville straddling the DaneGreen County line about 15 miles south of Madison. Access to the property is from Dane County Highway DD 2 miles east from Belleville State Highway 92 Tipperary Road Bellbrook Road Alpine Road and Hughes Road. The property currently consists of 2608 acres of stateowned land 337 acres of easement and 151 acres of leased lands. Landscapes include sedge meadow marsh riparian hardwoods oak ridges restored prairies and remnant prairies.
