This month we are putting the spotlight on Evans Adrian our Director of Business Operations, read a little bit about Evans and learn why he's such an essential member to our team! Evans joined The Arc Madison Cortland in September 2024 and just hit six months as our Director of Business Operations. Evans brings a seriously unique background to the team; his past roles include co-founding a creative ad agency in California and leading luxury assisted living communities in Colorado and California as a COO. After stepping back from the healthcare world during the pandemic, Evans and his wife, Amy, relocated from Boulder, Colorado, to Central New York. That’s how he found his way to his position at The Arc. An average workday for Evans is full of moving parts, he thrives on the fast pace and the problem-solving that comes with the job. He gives a big shoutout to Patti Curro, who’s been with the agency for over 40 years, for being the glue that helps hold everything together. Whether it’s launching new initiatives, supporting staff, or generating revenue, Evans is all in and excited about what’s to come. He chose to work at The Arc because he wanted to be part of something that truly puts people before profit. His advice for anyone thinking about this field is to lead with your heart, everything else will follow. And if you ever feel like you’re losing sight of the bigger picture, take a step back and remember the impact we make every day. When asked his personal motto, Evans answered: “Be humble. Material things, while on the surface seem important, aren’t something you can take to the grave. The life we live and the generosity and compassion that we have for others is something that will be remembered far more than the things we owned.” Out of the office, Evans is a passionate photographer with over 100,000 digital photos and thousands of rolls of film to prove it! He’s also traveled to every continent except Antarctica, studied culinary arts abroad, and loves cooking and trying new foods. Even in a short time here, Evans has become an invaluable member of our team, bringing new perspectives, fresh ideas, and a deep passion for our mission. (fb)
