S T A R RANCH Horse Rescue
STAR Ranch provides a safe haven for abused, neglected, abandoned and starved horses who otherwise would be left in fields, hidden in barns, or turned loose. The mission is to re-home as many as can be fully rehabilitated, the rest remain at STAR living out their lives in comfort at several foster farms. STAR now helps in 6 adjacent counties to the Tennessee border where there are no animal control departments, often only the sheriff's departments are involved. STAR donates horses to established horse therapy programs throughout NC.
