Meet our USO Indiana Airport Volunteer of the month, Susie! We asked Susie a few questions pertaining to her involvement with the USO, check out her answers. How did you learn about the USO? -"I learned about the USO through my friend and partner Shelby Puckett. I was in the military for 20 years and really wanted to give back somehow." When and where did you start volunteering? - "I think got started volunteering in 2017. I have been consistently volunteering since then. I have always volunteered at the Indianapolis airport." What is your favorite part of volunteering at the USO? - "My favorite part about volunteering with the USO is talking to and mentoring new recruits that come through the airport. They were like I was; scared and excited, and just wanting to know what to expect, and start their futures in the military. To me, that is the coolest part of working there.
