Open Fr, Sa, Su 11am-5pm Historic House of African American inventor and draftsman Lewis H. Latimer. The Lewis H. Latimer Fund, Inc. was established to preserve and promote the legacy of Lewis Howard Latimer (b.1848), the AfricanAmerican scientist, electrical pioneer, inventor, and humanist. His historic, landmarked home, the Lewis Latimer House Museum, is a fully functional public, cultural institution that provides primary research materials dedicated to his memory and that of other scientists and innovators of color who have made contributions to technology and modern life. The Museum offers educational and internship opportunities for students and adults in addition to general tours and programs in poetry, arts, and technology for the public.
