AFDVI - American Friends of Dental Volunteers for Israel Healing the world one smile at a time. About American Friends of Dental Volunteers for Israel Through fundraising and volunteer recruitment efforts in the United States AFDVI supports the work of Dental Volunteers for Israel at the Trudi Birger Clinic which provides free dental care and oral health education to Jerusalems underprivileged regardless of racial ethnic or religious background. Since 1980 DVI depends on the generosity of donors and volunteers from the US and around the world to continue to serve Jerusalems poorest children and seniors. The Trudi Birger Dental Clinic Story Dental Volunteers for Israel was founded in 1980 by the late Trudi Birger a Holocaust survivor microbiologist and dedicated humanitarian activist.
