*To reduce the number of feral cats in Massachusetts through non-lethal methods;*To minimize the suffering of un-owned cats;*To reduce the numbers of unwanted cats;*To end the euthanasia of healthy animals;*To provide services to cats who would otherwise not receive veterinary care.Ancillary Benefits*To protect communities from spread of diseases, such as rabies, by providing vaccinations;*To eliminate unpleasant feline behaviors associated with mating instincts;*To influence public policy makers with regards to issues concerning cats, including feral cats;*To foster responsible cat ownership/guardianship with people who have cats in their household so that the numbers of feral cats can be reduced from the source;*To change negative public attitudes about the presence of feral cats in the community.
