In early June our Summer Autumn Events Programme kicked off with the talk 'Behind The Patina' by George Williams. George is an expert in antique furniture restoration with over 40 years experience and gave an insightful talk exploring how the beautiful patinas found in antique furniture, which we admire today, were originally achieved — and how to preserve them. Two invaluable tips from George to care for your cherished wooden pieces are: 1️⃣ Avoid spray polishes — the unknown chemicals can damage delicate finishes.
