Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Canstruction International competition! Our judges were blown away by the creativity and skill displayed by the more than 110 teams who participated across the United States and Canada. After much deliberation, our judges have selected the following winners: Best Original Design - "The Famished Gaze of Medusa” by DWL and Caruso Turley Scott, and GCI General Contractors, Phoenix, AZ; Structural Ingenuity - "The Giving Tree: Give All You CAN" by Kirksey Architecture and Turner Construction, Houston, TX; Best Meal - "EnCANto Casito” by PCL Construction Services, Orange County, CA; Best Use of Labels - "Building Blocks for Hope" by TUMC Youth Group, Fredericksburg, VA; Most Cans – “One CAN” by Carpenter’s Local 1256, Inn of the Good Shepherd, Sarnia, Ontario; and Honorable Mention – “WaCANda Forever” by HOK, New York, NY. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in 2022. Together, we were able to raise 178,742 pounds of food along with $155,495 (equivalent of 455,485 meals) for local area food banks, helping to fight hunger in many communities where we work and live. Together we CAN DO something to alleviate hunger in our communities. CITYWIDE Competitions Citywide Competitions are annual events where design industry professionals compete building structures made out of full cans of food creating beautiful CanArt for display to the public and ultimately goes feed the hungry. JUNIOR Events Junior Events are for students or youth groups to use math design skills and art to create CanArt structures made out of canned food while teaching community service.
