Non-profit Organization | Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem How We Help Our program touches the lives of the neglected and abused children within the Pickens County Department of Social Services and the Guardian ad Litem program. Our annual Heart Sole Back to School event our new clothes closet at the Pickens County DSS contributing to tutoring expenses and helping to pay for summer camps and medical assistance. Many times a childs need is not covered through State or Federal programs and we assist in providing financial assistance to fulfill that need. Our Story The Friends of the Pickens County Guardian ad Litem have been providing support to the abused and neglected children within the Pickens County Department of Social Services and the court appointed volunteers of the Pickens County Guardian ad Litem program in South Carolina since 2002.
