TO HONOR THE RECIPIENTS OF THE PURPLE HEART MEDAL, TO PAY TRIBUTE TO OUR NATION'S COMBAT WOUNDED THROUGH SPECIAL OUTREACH AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, AND TO SUPPORT THE NATIONAL PURPLE HEART HALL OF HONOR.

According to Sgt Sheppard said, "while returning from patrol our M1114 HMMMV was hit by 5-155MM shells underneath the vehicle while returning to Camp victory/BIAP. " The Honor Mission was pleased to assist with Sgt Sheppard's enrollment in the national Purple Heart Roll of Honor.
