Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease COPD which includes lung conditions such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis can cause shortness of breath fatigue and a persistent cough. COPD is often linked to lung irritants like smoke and pollution and is sometimes even genetic. While there is currently no cure early diagnosis and proper care can help you breathe better and live well for many years.
