THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION AND ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SPORT OF FIGURE SKATING ON ICE, AND TO SERVE AS THE NYC MEMBER CLUB OF THE UNITED STATES FIGURE SKATING ASSOCIATION, THE NATIONAL GOVERNING BODY IN THE SPORT OF FIGURE SKATING ON ICE AS RECOGNIZED BY THE UNITED STATES OLYMPIC COMMITTEE (USOC), AND THE INTERNATIONAL SKATING UNION (ISU). THE ORGANIZATION ALSO CONDUCTS FIGURE SKATING TESTS AS DEFINED BY THE USFS AND TO ORGANIZE AND SPONSOR COMPETITIONS, EXHIBITIONS AND CLINICS FOR THE PURPOSE OF SERVING THE CLUB'S MEMBERSHIP AND STIMULATING INTEREST IN THE SPORT. LASTLY, THE ORGANIZATION RAISES FUNDS TO ASSIST FINANCIALLY OR OTHERWISE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES OF U.S. FIGURE SKATING, CLUB MEMBERS WHO HAVE EXHIBITED SUCCESS IN THE COMPETITIVE ARENA.
