The Tea Council of the USA was first formed in 1950 as a partnership between tea packers, importers, brokers and allied industries within the United States, as well as tea producers around the world. THE TEA COUNCIL FUNCTIONS AS THE PUBLIC RELATIONS ARM FOR THE TEA INDUSTRY AND ITS PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO ENCOURAGE GREATER TEA CONSUMPTION BY THE AMERICAN PUBLIC. THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE TEA COUNCIL OF THE USA IS THE FURTHERANCE OF TEA SCIENCE AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TEA AS A HEALTHY BEVERAGE.
