Never Noticed this in Scripture: One of the things that always delights me in studying the Bible is that no matter how many times you read something in the Bible, there is always something new you see and learn. How many times have I read the book of Acts? Soooooooo many times! However, I never paid attention to, or I really should say, it was as if I had never read this Stephen’s statement about Moses when he gave his speech just before he was martyred. In Acts 7:25, Stephen said that Moses “supposed that his brethren would have understood that God would deliver them by his hand, but they did not understand.” This was what Moses believed before he killed the Egyptian for hurting one of his brethren and then leaving Egypt to stay in the wilderness for the next 40 years. I never realized that Moses thought his brethren would understand that he was the one God had assigned to deliver them from the oppression of the Egyptians.
