Recap of our Stories of the Shoreline storytelling open mic night hosted by NAICOB! Thanks to the support of Mass Humanities. This was the kickoff of our Bay State Without Beaches program where we’ll be collecting narratives, lived experiences, and oral histories of climate change and our shifting shorelines all summer. At the end of the summer, some stories will be published by Save the Harbor and featured in a live exhibition! Use this link to share your story https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSddUt0zQA-G1aTYflFzhPpqmb_Kb3hX54sNLq17XZsbLdZlRw/viewform?usp=send_form (fb)

We’re excited to see you at our storytelling open mic night this upcoming Tuesday from 6-8PM! 🌊 🎙️🦀📚🐳! Register at the link in our bio, and scroll to meet our amazing partners for this event! The North American Indian Center of Boston (NAICOB) will host our story slam! The center was established in 1969 and moved to its current location in Jamaica Plain in 1974. NAICOB empowers and invests in the indigenous community in our region, offering holistic employment, youth, food assistance, and advocacy programs. Dzidzor (pronounced Jee-joh) Azaglo joins us as the MC for the event! Dzidzor is a musician, author, and entrepreneur who uses performance and writing to engage communities around topics such as home, identity, and imagination. Our storytelling open mic night will also feature installations by Carolyn Lewenberg, a local public artist whose practice explores how we can be in the right relationship with each other and the ecosystems around us.
