"Pop-Up Workshop in Dance!" is a workshop presented by Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre's Musical Theatre Training Institute. Recently, Shoshana Rubli and her team shared their time and talents with large groups of our members. The kids rotated through stations for choreography review, precision, and rhythm/counting, and performed "Before The Parade Passes By" with the exact choreography from the National Tour of "Hello, Dolly". MTTI brought props from their costume closet to pull everything together. A heartfelt thank you to Shoshana and the MTTI crew for providing this multi-day workshop at both Club locations. “Run Like the Winded Decathlon” is on Saturday, June 7th, 8:00 AM, at the Post Falls High School track, with all donation proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kootenai County. Drop by and cheer for your favorite out-of-shape athlete, and make a donation to support the event and the Clubs. The organizers posted an introductory video on YouTube with the following description of the event: “ A bunch of wrestling refs somehow decided to take on all 10 events of the decathlon. Not for glory. Not for medals. Mostly just to pass the time. Oh, and a $100 Texas Roadhouse gift card—because we’re not giving out participation trophies, and somebody’s gotta win something. We've added a 10-year-old kid as our control group.
