Bend International School Welcome to Bend International School Celebrating 10 Years Our mission and vision continue to grow with 10 years of service in Central Oregon Rigorous Academics Our curriculum supports students in higher level thinking preparing them for high school and beyond. Projectbased Learning Projectbased learning units integrate content areas while engaging students in both local and global real world contexts. Spanish Development Students develop Spanish literacy through a combination of direct instruction and select immersive language experiences. A K8 Education Students learn in a small K8 community where they are known well and families are actively engaged.

Last night an 8th grade Valedictorian and her 5th grade teacher went to provide public comment to the Bend-La Pine Schools Board of Directors. Their goal: Better understanding the value of Bend International School in our local landscape and the funding inequities facing us as an authorized charter school. Here is what we want our board and community to understand: 1) Equity - Charter schools operate at less then 50% of a district run school.
